My name is Keven Gelinas, and I started running in April 2023 as a personal challenge. I signed up for a 5 km race with one goal: break 30 minutes. For two months, I ran too fast, with poor technique—and constant pain. But I stayed focused.
Hiring a running coach and personal trainer changed everything. I learned how to build mileage properly and ran my first 5 km in 29 minutes.
Over the next year, I built a strong base and mastered the fundamentals. One year later, I completed my first half marathon. Six months after that, my first ultramarathon. After pushing through the toughest pain I’d ever felt, I decided to go back to school and become a personal trainer and running coach.
